Demolition is dedicated to providing safe and
secure project sites. Investing in worker training
and employing an experienced Health & Safety
team ensures all sites conform to or exceed stringent
government regulations. The key to Murray’s
continuous safe operations is communication –
daily, weekly and monthly.
A safe work permit is completed every day. Each
worker signs it to acknowledge they are aware
of the daily tasks ahead, as well as any hazards
and how to deal with them.
Every week a site inspection is completed using
a time-tested checklist. This checklist helps
identify and address potential hazards and deficiencies.
All findings are communicated, documented and
reported.
The Murray Health & Safety Team conducts a
mandatory monthly meeting for foremen, project
managers and estimators. During these open-forum
meetings, participants discuss health and safety
issues, learn about new regulations and share
their best practices. This information is shared
with the field during the next daily meeting.
