REGIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY COORDINATOR (BC)

Region: Richmond, BC

Directed by the Regional EHS Manager the EHS Coordinator assists to lead the EHS management system at the regional and site level, is the EHS presence on worksites and at the facilities. Provides guidance to Supervisors/Managers and workers. The coordinator is expected to work cooperatively with all EHS team members, peers and supervisors to promote an EHS culture and create a continuous improvement and pro-active EHS management cycle. Ensure health and safety is considered in the performance of all activities; adapting to various work environments and business activity. Qualifications: Post-secondary education in a related discipline preferred or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience; CRSP or equivalent preferred. Experience and Skills Required: minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM LEADER - Full-time

Region: Richmond, British Columbia (living with in the Lower Mainland)

Your responsibilities as Emergency Response Team Leader will include the following:

  • Respond to emergency and scheduled work during your on-call schedule times and when requested by the Operations Manager.
  • Ensure safe and efficient response to incidents and scheduled work as outlined in the QMLP EHS manual.
  • Complete all related paperwork and reports required for operational tasks.
  • Perform equipment checks and scheduled maintenance as requested.
  • Equipment maintenance for all QMLP vehicles and mechanical equipment as requested.
  • Basic housekeeping of building and work area.
  • Attend scheduled training and lead training as assigned by Quantum management.
  • Your responsibilities will include other tasks and duties as assigned

The position has on call requirements. 24 hour on-call will be required everyday unless on scheduled days off. Schedules will be decided at the beginning of each quarter.

Additional Notes:
- QMLP requires all employees to sign an Agreement for Excess Hours

Assets for the position:
- Clean driver’s license (5 yr abstract required).
- Self-motivated, organized individual with good interpersonal skills.
- Good time management skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and general computer navigation.
- Hazardous material specific training
- Confined Space/ Rescue specific training
- High Angle specific training
- Ability lead instruct internal and external clients

PROJECT MANAGEMENT / SITE SUPERINTENDENTS / FIELD FOREMEN

Region: Richmond, BC

Our Richmond Office is currently recruiting Project Management / Site Superintendents / Field Foremen for our hazardous materials projects group. Work to start immediately. Successful candidates will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in the management or supervision of industrial and or construction projects.
  • Willingness to travel and work on out of town projects.
  • Strong capabilities in cost control, scheduling, quality, project status and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication ability is a must.
  • Computer literacy and aptitude to learn new software preferred.
  • Commitment to Health and Safety and complete understanding of WorkSafe BC regulations.
